Full Scale Train Scanning and Imaging System

Beena Vision offers its full scale train scanning system as a basic component of its comprehensive train inspection system.
This system consists of several line and area scan cameras that provides image of the train at track speeds at high resolution. The system is designed to provide images of all externally visible components of a car. The images are then assigned to individual cars based on AEI data. Car components are then ready for viewing and analysis.

The system is designed to provide the following benefits to the user:

  • Assist the carman in his car inspection duties
  • Make it possible to view images using a user interface software provided
    with the system
  • The system uses several sensors and algorithms to pinpoint axle position, car
beginning and car end positions, appliances, and truck components such as
side frame, springs, brake shoes, etc.
  • Provide automated inspection on select components

This system is designed to be used as a comprehensive train inspection system. After the imaging system is installed, different software and hardware modules can be used to inspect several train components, including brakes hoses, brake shoes, wedge and springs, appliances, bearing caps, body of the car, uncoupling levers, couplers, etc.

The Undercarriage scanner is recommended to complement the train scanner data.
